Normally, a difficult shot to get...fortunately, this was taken early enough in the day where we'd go several minutes at a time without seeing a single vehicle.
Jonathan getting a similar angle. Do not try this at home, or more accurately, anywhere near a road.
We happened upon this old jet while driving towards Edwards Air Force Base.
Near the Edwards Gunnery and Bombing Range
Outside a kite store in Littlerock.
At the Littlerock Dam.
The Devil's Punchbowl.
Jonathan flying the kite we bought. It flew for all of five minutes. No, I mean five *total* minutes, between two hours of tangled cords and picking the pieces out of bushes.
See if you can spot my shadow.
I like taking pictures of the shadow-side of things. It's tricky but I like trying to see how close I can get to what I see with my eyes naturally.
The guy who lived here was not at all happy that we were taking pictures--hence the long lens.
I saw a shot very similar to this in a bad 70s documentary, and figured I'd mimic it for the heck of it.
Taken literally a second before the sun set.
Taken exactly one minute after the previous photo.
